The Yeha NRMI-EA aims to provide courses
in advanced and sophisticated training
and research. The framework for Yeha’s programs
was determined during a stakeholders’ meeting in
Addis Ababa in September 2005, held under the auspices
of the Ethiopian Social Rehabilitation and Development
Fund and attended by members of the PRAXIS Ethiopia Alliance.More....

Increasing population and growing welfare place pressure
on the natural environment and result in problems such
as deforestation, overgrazing, and the contamination of
land and water resources. Depletion of natural resources
can lead to land scarcity and to widespread changes in
land use. Geo-information technology, and in particular
remote sensing, plays an important role in these tasks. |

Microbial conversion
of organic matter to methane has become attractive as
a method of waste treatment and resource recovery. This
process is anaerobic and is carried out by action of
various groups of anaerobic bacteria. |
