Cooperation agreement with major National
University/Colleges
Memorandum of understanding was signed between Addis Ababa
University (AAU) and Yeha Science and technology Academy
Yeha Natural Resources Management Institute for Eastern
Africa in August 2006. The MOU is intended to facilitate
the collaboration of the two partner organizations in hlealth,
Education, Socio-economic,
Environment Science, Biodiversity, Natural Resource Management
and Agriculture related development, technology transfer
and training activities to contribute to various stakeholders
and beneficiaries to accordance with the provision and
legal framework of the host country.
In addition to enable explore design and implement specific
projects in Education/Resource integrated human health
improvements for poverty alleviation and environmental
sustainability, the MOU will enable select sponsor, train
supervision post graduate scholars to carry out MSC and
PHD programs in partnership with AAU
The agreement is also believed to promote and facilitate
co-operation among the partner institutions and other public
and private organizations through specific activities that
enhance the efficiency and achievement of the objectives
of both institutions.
The newly signed understanding assigned between one of
the oldest and best institution in the country (AAU) that
has been playing a leading role
in the past 50 years in producing intellectual natural
and highly skilled manpower in multi- disciplinary areas
and the newly found unique-public- private educational
and research incentive in integrated natural resource management
YEHA is expected to further strengthen and boost the country's
walk towards best quality education.
