Yeha Resource center Inaugurated

Yeha NRMI Information Resources Center, dedicated to Prof. David Rogers, his Wife Prof. Sarah Randolph and Family, was officially opened in the presence of H.E British Ambassador to Ethiopia and DFID Director, and Yeha Stakeholders and SC members.

The dedication was made to Mr. Rogers and family for their long years of contribution and support to advance Science in Ethiopia and their special support to Dr. Getachew Tikubet, founder of the institution, and his family in assisting him achieve his vision.

Dr. Getachew opened the ceremony with a short speech about Prof. David's contribution to the promotion of science in Ethiopia and in Africa . He said that Prof. David Rogers and his wife have been valuable contributors to the establishment of Yeha NRMI.

In the speech he made before the information center was opened officially, Prof. David Rogers noted how visionary and dedicated Dr. Getachew has been from the moment he knew him long ago. He also noted that some 10 years back the place, where Yeha NRMI and the biofarm setups currently exist, was a barren land. He expressed his respect to Dr. Getachew and his team and expressed his happiness to see Dr. Getachew's dream of establishing the biofarm setup and an institute in that barren land come true.
